Full job description
We are seeking skilled and reliable HVAC Technicians to install, maintain, and repair heating and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install new HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, duct work, dehumidifiers, tankless water heaters, generators, and thermostats.
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and service on heating and cooling systems.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Ensure systems are running efficiently and safely, in compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Communicate with clients to explain issues, propose solutions, and provide cost and time estimates.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe, working condition.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and HVAC technology.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or HVAC certification preferred.
- Experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or extreme temperatures.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Time management and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with smart HVAC systems or energy-efficient technologies.
Work Environment:
- On-site work at residential and light commercial properties.
- Indoor and outdoor settings, sometimes in extreme weather conditions.
- On-call availability, including evenings and weekends, will be required.
